These features work together to produce clear and crisp high-contrast views with accurate color rendition. Nikon's proprietary Eco-Glass optics are made of environmentally friendly lenses and prisms that don't contain lead or arsenic. Complementing the image quality, the optical tubes are nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and resistant to internal fogging, and the housing is wrapped in a textured rubber armor that provides a slip-resistant grip—especially in cold or wet weather.
